The whole field, ranked by green pins.

A green pin is one grid cell where a business holds a top-3 local-pack position — the same rank ≤ 3 threshold the grid map paints green. Each of 1,544 points was searched for all 10 keywords, 100 results deep: 15,440 cells, exactly 46,320 green pins to win. These are search results, not a construction registry — 6,624 distinct businesses came back. All 6,624 were read by Claude Sonnet 5, one at a time, and sorted by what they actually are rather than by the Google category (which files real contractors under "water damage restoration" and handyman outfits under "general contractor"): 5,419 contractors, 413 non-construction home services, 576 suppliers and showrooms, 191 designers/inspectors/realtors, 25 unrelated. Contractors only is the default view. The tail is thin too: 1,171 appeared exactly once in all 15,440 searches and 4,071 never ranked above #20 anywhere — 1,845 ever cracked the top 10.

Green pin = rank_group ≤ 3 at a point for one keyword — identical definition to the live grid map (paid/ad entries excluded, as on the map). City and category are the Google Business Profile's own. A firm can hold up to 10 green pins per point (one per keyword).
"Contractor" = judged by Claude Sonnet 5 from the business name, Google category and city — performs construction or remodeling work on the home itself, including the trades and post-damage rebuilders. It is a judgement, not a licence check, and it disagrees with the raw Google category on 635 of 6,624 businesses in both directions. Nothing is dropped from the data — non-contractors stay in the file and render amber-flagged under "Every business".
